New Molly Hankinson Street Art in Penge

Towards the end of the summer Penge received a visit from London born, but S1cotland based, street artist Molly Hankinson, who hit up a pair of fantastic works. Molly Harkinson works across a broad range of artistic practices, from large-scale mural work, to painting, printmaking, and hand-drawn and digital illustration. Through her work she interrogates and celebrates ‘safe spaces and the people who occupy them’, weaving narratives of collective gendered experiences, shared empathy, and radical confidence. Incorporating the aesthetics of bright and considered colour placement with use of continuous line, Molly is particularly interested in how her art can evoke a feeling, offer comfort, and serve as sites of power. The fantastic works below were put up with support from ourselves London Calling Blog as part of our SprayExhibition20 community street art project.

Work in Southey Street, Penge.

Work at the Penge Rooftop Gallery, Penge.
