For our next blog post catching up with 2025, we are again looking at another highlight of the year, with an incredible collaboration from two of our favourite artists, namely Dotmaster and Irony, placed up in Penge during the summer. Both of these artists are no stranger to the area, both having painted an extensive number of times about town over the years. Each of these artists were among the first artists to paint in Penge for our project. So it is no surprise that this piece is so special, presenting an incredible collaboration fusing each of the disparate styles – though each of them are masters at realism, be it done free hand or with stencils – absolutely perfectly. The work features a fox diving headfirst and rather enthusiastically into a pile of scaled-up bin bags from Dotmaster, blending key subjects in each artists vast repertoire of subjects superbly. The fox’s tail coming above the wall is the little detail that takes a masterful piece just that notch higher to absolute pure gold standards. We are absolutely thrilled and privileged to have this piece up in Penge – especially as it is one we get to enjoy on a near daily basis. This outstanding collaborative work can be found in Maple Road, Penge, and was put up with support from London Calling Blog for our community mural project SprayExhibition20.
