New Irony Street Art in Beckenham

For our next post looking back at 2025 we are playing catch up with an absolutely fantastic painting in South-East London, placed up early this year in a quiet residential street, in Beckenham, just over the border from Penge’s thriving street art scene. Making excellent use of a rather awkward spot to view and access – something this artist has done on so many occasions over the years – Irony painted this absolutely adorable, larger than life cat set, peering out between the two houses and over the big bush. We for one think it completely owns the space and has injected so much character in to this road. We would like to say a massive thank you to Irony for this wonderful addition to our community mural project and equally so to the lovely owners who were more than patient and exceptionally hospitable. This superb work can be found in MacKenzie Road, Beckenham, and was placed up with support from London Calling Blog for SprayExhibition20.
