For our next blog post catching up with 2024, we are again in our corner of South-East London to look a t series of five pieces placed up around SE20 by street artist Irony. It’s always a pleasure to have this talented artist visit our hometown and leave such brilliant works for ourselves and the local community to enjoy. It is fair to say that whilst this artist has been less active on the scene in the last couple of years they have definitely not lost their ability and if anything have shown they are better than ever. Of the five works shared below, we have 2 portraits of strong female subjects and a trio of fun and cheeky animal focused works. Of the pieces below our favourite would have to be the Pigeon placed up in Bycroft Road, pure Irony in subject and execution. This superb run of works were placed up in Penge, and were put up with support from ourselves London Calling Blog.
