A couple of months back saw London receive a visit from Swedish street artist Iron, who hit up a number of paste-ups around East London and a painting in South-East London on his brief whistlestop visit to the city. Taking to the Penge Rooftop Gallery Iron hit up a witty satirical piece inspired by current world events. This piece amply demonstrates how Iron previously worked as a political cartoonist for a newspaper in his native Sweden. The work features Vladimir Putin set as a classic cartoon bomb with the fuse lit in the colours of the Ukrainian flag and says so much in such a perfectly direct way.
