A round six weeks back saw the first fresh piece of street art to hit Croydon town centre in some years when stencil artist Dotmaster passed through to refresh a spot he first painted some six years previously. Croydon’s street art scene has been all but non-existent in recent years so it was a real treat to see this recent drop from one of our favourite artists who dropped a superb Rude Kids scene which was particularly notable for featuring the first public use of one of Dotmaster’s dead celebrity framed paintings, in the form of Biggie in his iconic crown. The whole scene is punctuated by Dotmaster’s distinctive wall paper settings. First class and somewhere really in need of some new first rate street art.
