One of the highlights of Penge’s street art scene in 2024 was the pair of walls painted by visiting Australian artist Jasmine Crisp, the second of which we are looking at below. Taking to centre stage at the Penge Rooftop Gallery Jasmine Crisp placed up hit up, in our opinion, one of the stand-out pieces from 900 or so first rate artworks that have adorned the space during the last three years. This striking piece titled “She was in the place she always wanted to be, naked, alone, elated and with her favourite chocolate from Sainsbury’s” was inspired as a response to the desire for a night in resting in contrast with the pressurized feeling of continued exploration when travelling abroad. This spectacular work was put up with support from ourselves London Calling Blog for our SprayExhibition20 community street art project in South-East London.

The stunning finished piece.
