Next up in our series of blog posts playing catch up with works and pieces we have had the pleasure of seeing through 2024, we are taking a look at this superb work that was placed up in Penge earlier this year by Italian graffiti writer Soda. This artist’s works are truly original and offer 3D abstract compositions which deconstruct his graffiti roots and in turn recontextualizes concepts of space and movement exceptionally. The level of depth and effect achieved with such a limited colour palette is incredible and his use of a spray can is masterful to say the least, this painting was created entirely freehand with no tape, stencils or hard edges. This striking work was put up with support from ourselves London Calling Blog as part of our SprayExhibition20 community street art project.
