Next up in our look back at the last year, we are taking a look at a superb pair of street pieces from Alo which we saw recently on our visits up the East End and whilst cycling through Hackney. Alo’s work features his own brand of urban expressionist abstract portraiture, based on subjects including real people Alo observes on the streets, people from the media as well as mythical creatures, setting to examine their role in society, Creating his public artworks using a combination of brushes, acrylic and mixed media, mixing painting with a mixed media technique, to create something entirely original and unique from anyone else on the scene. It is always a pleasure to spy fresh work from this inimitable artist and we look forward to the next time we come across his work when venturing up the East End.
