Earlier this year at the tail end of Spring, London received a visit from Portsmouth based artist My Dog Sighs, who hit up a series of six works in South-East London ahead of an exhibition he hosted in Peckham, three in Penge and three in Peckham. Of the the five works, we were fortunate enough to host enjoy and see four of them, with three of them were placed up in our hometown – two of which can still be seen as of now. Of the six pieces, five of them featured his iconic eyes featuring a defined scene reflected in the pupil, and four of these eyes were set upon a piece of photorealistic cardboard. The sixth piece featured one of his Quiet Little Voices surreal characters.
It is always a pleasure to see work from this artist, especially as it is so rarely seen about London, and we are delighted to have been able to have hosted a trio of excellent works in our hometown. The works below that were placed up in Penge, were put up with support from ourselves London Calling Blog for our SprayExhibition20 community project.
