Earlier this year whilst on an early morning cycle through Brick Lane we were incredibly fortunate to stumble across this absolutely incredible and captivating artwork by Spanish born, but London based, street artist Jay Kaes. Through his work Jay Kaes explores concepts of reality and illusion through a glitched experience of the world, fusing reality with the digital realm. For this striking work titled ‘Beyond the Illusion’, which presents a more photorealistic depiction in the portraiture aspect of the work than pieces we have previously seen from this artist, Jay Kaes explores the idea of “seeing beyond the surface of reality”. It is always a pleasure to see fresh art from this artist, of whom we are a huge fan, around London, especially as it happens less and less these days as this artist is very busy painting the world over. This exceptional artwork can be found in Hanbury Street, Brick Lane, and was put up with support from Not Banksy Forum.
