New Jho Street Art in Penge

For our next blog post playing catchup with all things we have seen out and about through 2024, we are back in Penge and looking at a superb pair of works from Colombian born, but London based, street artist Jho. It is always exciting to discover artwork from someone new to the London scene and this talented artist has not disappointed. Her work is created through a combination of acrylic paint applied with paint brushes and spray paint and features a fusion of realism with illustration in this striking natural subjects full of bright vivid colours as one could expect in Latin influenced artworks. We hope to see more from this artist before too long, whether we do or don’t, you can enjoy the pair of lovely additions to South-East London this year, as well as a piece we spotted in Brick Lane early this year. Both of the striking artworks below were placed up with support from ourselves London Calling Blog for our SprayExhibition20 community mural project.

Work at the Penge Rooftop Gallery, depicting the “Blue Jaguar, the bridge between other dimensions and states of extraordinary consciousness” as the artist so poetically put it.

Work in Linden Grove, Penge, featuring a close up purple portrait of a monkey
