In early spring we made our first trip to Hackney Wick for some time and we were rather lucky to catch an array of fantastic pieces including two stunning portraits by Salvadoran born, but London based artist Abraham.O. Certainly one of London’s most prolific and proactive artists of current, Abraham’s works are always striking and these addition to Hackney Wick were no exception. One thing we have really enjoyed about Abraham’s output this last year is the focus on shadow and light on his subjects, that really bring the pieces to life with such beautiful effect and energy. Of the two works below the first piece below, which is still running in Prince Edward Road is our favourite and the work along Hertford Union Canal is long gone by this point.
