For our next post playing catch up with works and pieces we have had the pleasure of seeing through 2024, we are taking a look at this superb work that was placed up in Penge earlier this year by graffiti writer Ekto. This piece marked the first visit from Ekto to the Penge Rooftop Gallery and he hit up this excellent work in no time at all amid 40 mile per hour winds – demonstrating his technical painting ability as the piece is so clean and precise despite the far from reasonable painting conditions. There is so much going on in this fun piece, and so much we love about it – from the Burberry baseball cap atop the leopard print E, the expression on the Flaming O with the burnt out match, to the excellent use of space with the playing with the car park bay markings on the floor in front of the wall.
