During the summer Anerley received a visit from London graffiti writer Red Romes and visiting Australian street artist Sydney West who hit up this fantastic Pink Panthers collaboration across a pair of garage doors in St Hugh’s estate. Fusing Red Romes illustrative styling in the form of the iconic Pink Panther character and Red Romes photorealistic penchant for shiny, glass and metallic objects, the duo left a superb collaboration that really added something fresh to the mini gallery that is St Hugh’s. This work also represent Sydney West’s only art currently up in London which is something we feel very lucky to have in our neck of the woods.
We would like to say a big thank you to Red Romes and Sydney West for taking the time to visit SE20 on in order to support our community artistic initiative and leaving this fantastic artwork for ourselves and the locals to enjoy in the process. This captivating work was placed up in Chalkendon Close, Anerley, with support from ourselves London Calling Blog for our community mural project SprayExhibition20.
