During the summer Anerley received a visit from Tash and Iain MacArthur who hit up a collaboration fusing their respective illustrative styles very harmoniously. The work presents a strong natural energy with Tash painting the left side of the wall comprising the broken animal skull and flowing blue plant life, whilst Iain MacArthur painted the right side of the wall comprising the partial human face and flowing right plant life. It is always exciting to have artists come and paint their first works about SE20 and all the more so when it offers something completely fresh to the abundance of art that is currently up around the area.
We would like to say a big thank you to Tash and Ian MacArthur for taking the time to visit SE20 on in order to support our community artistic initiative and leaving this fantastic artwork for ourselves and the locals to enjoy in the process. This captivating work was placed up in Chalkendon Close, Anerley, with support from ourselves London Calling Blog for our community mural project SprayExhibition20.
