Earlier this year Penge was blessed with a visit from stencil focused duo Snik who left an incredible addition to SE20’s thriving art scene. The work titled While the World Decays features a striking female subject constructed from the most intricate stencils we have ever seen used to paint a wall, whilst simultaneously making fantastic use of the space, including a lovely touch by keeping the exposed brick around the edges. We have long admired this duo’s distinct and incredible artworks and it is an absolute pleasure to have had them come paint for our community project, all the more so as it is currently the only artwork this pair have up in London.

We would like to say a massive thank you to Snik for taking the time to visit SE20 in order to support our community artistic initiative and for leaving this absolutely beautiful artwork for ourselves and the locals to enjoy in the process. This absolutely stunning work was placed up in Penge Lane, Penge, with support from ourselves London Calling Blog for SprayExhibition20.
