Two of the new additions to the area are both in the centre of Penge with the works in question being located on Green Lane, and just off of Penge High Street – behind McDonald’s on the old toilet block. We love how the work off the high street pops off the surrounding raw brick. However the second work peeking across the junction at Green Lane and the High Street is our favourite of the two, offering a stack of pure fun for the heart of town. Additionally Nol placed up a fun sticker-effect character at the Penge Rooftop Gallery.
His characters are meticulously created and so clean, consisting of bold solid colours and fluent black lines as inspired by Nol’s love of print-making. We feel very lucky to have been able to host the only artwork that Nol currently has placed up in London and hope it isn’t too long before he graces our home city to leave his mark again.
The works below were all placed up with support from ourselves London Calling Blog for our community mural project SprayExhibition20. We of course wish to say a massive thank you to Nol for supporting our community initiative by taking the time to visit Penge whilst in London and for leaving such a brilliant series of artworks in our corner of the world in the process. As well as a thank you to each of the respective property owners for donating their spaces to our community project.
