For this post we are playing catch-up with a series of eight fantastic works placed up over the course of 2023 from street artist Aspire. It is always a pleasure to see fresh work from this artist, especially when we get to see it on our daily travels, Aspire’s striking soft realistic animals are always accompanied by such beautiful scenes or over the last couple of years or so increasingly his natural subjects are accompanied by various items of humans consumption, some natural, some manufactured. It is impressive to see the constant experimentation and various stylings with which he presents his predominantly avian subjects.
The works below were all placed up with support from ourselves London Calling Blog for our community mural project SprayExhibition20. We of course wish to say a massive thank you to Aspire for supporting our community initiatives by taking the time to visit Penge – and Crystal Palace – and for leaving such a brilliant series of artworks in our corner of the world in the process. As well as a thank you to each of the respective property owners for donating their spaces to our community project.
