New Smackas Street Art in Penge

Over the summer Penge received a visit from a few different artists travelling across the world from Australia to drop some fresh additions about the town, the first of whom was Smackas. Who on his whistlestop tour of London took to Penge High Street to leave this rather surreal and a tad dark vision of a clown playing with a tagged up train fusing a child like love of old fashioned trains from an era gone by with hardcore graffiti culture. It is always a pleasure to discover and meet new artists, and all the more so when they drop something fresh about town for ourselves and the locals to enjoy. We feel very lucky to have been able to host the only artwork this artist currently has placed up in London and hope it isn’t too long before he graces our home city to leave his mark again.

We would like to say a big thank you to Smackas for taking the time to visit SE20 on his visit to London in order to support our community artistic initiative and leaving this fantastic artwork to enjoy in the process. This captivating work was placed up in Penge High Street, Penge, with support from ourselves London Calling Blog.
