Next up we are taking a look at a series of four artworks we have seen around London during 2023 by street artist Eyesaw. It is interesting to be offered a snapshot of how Eyesaw’s art has progressed over the last year. When we last shared his artworks from 2022, Eyesaw was painting glitched cartoon characters in a minimalist colour palette. At the start of this year he was painting iconic cartoon characters as stickers – as demonstrated by the two works below from Corbet Place, Brick Lane, placed up early this year. By late summer Eyesaw was experimenting with Anaglyph 3D techniques as is the case with the Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse work at the Penge Rooftop Gallery. By late Autumn Eyesaw has shifted towards creating his own illustrative characters, whilst retaining the glitched sensibility which has been particularly prominent in his art over the last few years – as exemplified with the last of the four works shared below.
