Next up in our look back at the last year, we are taking a look at four new street pieces from Alo which we saw on our visits to Shoreditch over the last 12 months. The artist’s work feature his own brand of urban expressionist abstract portraiture based on subjects including real people Alo observes on the streets, people from the media as well as mythical creatures, setting to examine their role in society, Creating his public artworks using a combination of brushes, acrylic and mixed media, mixing painting with a mixed media technique. It is always a pleasure to spy fresh work from this inimitable artist and we look forward to the next time we come across his work when venturing up the East End.
