Earlier this year we were fortunate enough to receive a visit from Edinburgh based Scottish artist Shona Hardie who left a captivating addition to our SprayExhibition20 community mural project, that we are fortunate enough to enjoy on a near daily basis. Fusing a rich illustrative styling with bold fragmented geometric shapes in this surreal yet peaceful creation, Shona Hardie certainly left something entirely original in terms of the vast array of artworks we have been fortunate enough to host in our hometown of Penge. We feel very lucky to have been able to host the only artwork this artist currently has placed up in London and hope it isn’t too long before she graces our home city to leave her mark again.
We would like to say a big thank you to Shona Hardie for taking the time to visit SE20 on her visit to London in order to support our community artistic initiative and leaving this fantastic artwork for ourselves and the locals to enjoy in the process. This striking work was placed up in Maple Road, Penge, with support from ourselves London Calling Blog.
